And So It Begins
I have heard from many that the Camino calls to those who need to walk. For me, the first time heard about the Camino was 20 years ago. I thought That sounds like an adventure I would love.
Well I leave in six days to walk. This is my midlife crisis. Soon, I will be 50. Not that there is anything wrong with 50, but 50 nonetheless.
I recognized that in many ways. I had turned conventional; and for someone who is never conventional, conventional was scary. For me faith was something others had and a calling was more related to the telephone than something I did. I heard call quite clearly but did I have the faith? Could I do this, really? Would I get out there and find nothing – not even me? So now I walk. Walk with fear and doubt but walk none the less.
